Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy offers a space to slow down to explore what sits beneath the surface of your experience and begin to understand the patterns shaping how you feel, relate and move through the world.

What brings people
to psychotherapy

People come to psychotherapy for many different reasons.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, in pain, or unsure why things feel as they do.

You may be moving through anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, a life transition, or questions about identity, direction or meaning.

You may sense that something needs attention, even if you cannot yet name it.

My approach

The work begins with slowing down.

I believe meaningful change begins when we are able to stay with our experience long enough to understand it.

In our sessions we pay attention not only to what you say, but also to what may be sitting underneath the words. This might include feelings that are difficult to name, patterns that repeat in relationships, tensions in the body, or different parts of yourself that hold different perspectives.

My intention is to be fully attuned, so that you feel seen, heard and understood.

At times we may slow down and sit with something painful or uncertain. At other times I may notice a pattern, ask a direct question or gently challenge something that seems important. The aim is a deeper ease with what you are carrying.

I do not approach this work from a distance. My own experience of the therapeutic process continues to shape how I listen, how I understand what people are carrying, and how I show up alongside them.

The perspectives that inform my work

We partner with organisations, senior leadership teams and individual leaders navigating complex challenges.

The perspectives
that inform my work

My work draws on several depth-oriented approaches.

These include Process Oriented Psychology, which pays attention to the subtle signals within our experience emotions, body sensations, dreams, relationship dynamics and explores what they may be asking of us.

I also draw on Internal Family Systems, which understands the psyche as made up of different parts, each carrying their own history and intention.

Alongside this, I bring a systemic lens, recognising that our lives are shaped by the families, cultures and environments we grow up within.
